The Hillsboro Community Foundation (HCF) is a vehicle for people of all means to make a lasting difference in the community causes they care about. HCF’s central purpose is to serve the needs and goals of donors who wish to better this community, now and in the future. HCF is a means to build substantial endowment funds for a community through contributions large and small. Because the contributions are endowed, they are never spent. Instead, they are permanently invested to produce income. Part of the income earned is then used to help meet the community's charitable needs, according to donors’ interests and the current needs and opportunities in the community. So gifts to HCF continue to benefit the community forever.
